LucenceINSIGHT™ Cancer Screening

Multi Cancer Early Detection (MCED) Test that screens for up to 50 different types of cancer in a simple blood draw.

What is LucenceINSIGHT™ Cancer Screening?

At Wonderhealth Screeners, we proudly offer LucenceInsight Screen, a revolutionary multi-cancer early detection (MCED) test that can detect up to 50 types of cancers through a simple, non-invasive blood test.

LucenceINSIGHT™ is a state-of-the-art liquid biopsy test designed to detect cancer by analyzing circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in the blood. Unlike traditional cancer screenings that often focus on one or a few specific types of cancer, this innovative test covers a broad spectrum, offering a comprehensive assessment in a single procedure.

Key Features:

  • Broad Coverage: Detects signals for up to 50 types of cancers, including common ones like breast, lung, and colorectal cancer, as well as rarer cancers.

  • Non-Invasive: A simple blood draw is all that is required, making the process fast and convenient.

  • Advanced Technology: Uses next-generation sequencing (NGS) and AI-driven analysis for accurate results.

  • High Accuracy: Demonstrates high sensitivity and specificity, reducing the risk of false positives or negatives.

Frequently Asked Questions About LucenceINSIGHT™ Cancer Screening

Is The LucenceINSIGHT™ Cancer Screening Approved In Singapore?
Yes, the Lucence Cancer Blood Test is approved and licensed by MOH Singapore.
No, it’s not covered by insurance.

No fasting is needed. Refrain from heavy meals 4 hours before the test.

Early detection of cancer is advised for all individuals, as 78% of cancer-related deaths occur without being detected by current screening methods. Data indicates that early diagnosis can improve survival rates by up to fourfold. Catching cancer in its initial stages often allows for more effective and less invasive treatments, significantly improving survival chances and enhancing patients’ quality of life. Additionally, early detection provides individuals with the opportunity to take proactive steps in managing the disease, potentially preventing it from advancing to later stages.

LucenceINSIGHT™ is recommended in conjunction with existing screening tools for:
  • Individuals aged 40 and above without personal history of cancer
  • Individuals with elevated risk for cancer (eg, family history of cancer, diet, lifestyle etc)
Note: LucenceINSIGHT™ is not recommended for use in individuals who are pregnant, or have a history of cancer in the past 3 years.
LucenceINSIGHT™ examines changes in genes, which serve as instructions for cell growth and function. Mutations in these genes can sometimes cause growth to become uncontrolled, leading to cancer.

Cancer marker tests like CA19-9 or CA125 detect elevated levels of proteins produced by cancer cells.

In essence, gene mutations and protein markers have a ’cause and effect’ relationship in cancer detection.

LucenceINSIGHT™ is designed to complement the routine cancer screening tools provided by your healthcare provider, enhancing clarity in early cancer detection.
It is generally advised to undergo screenings every year. Routine annual screenings are crucial for identifying cancer in its early stages when treatment tends to be most effective. These tests enable healthcare providers to track changes in your health and catch any early signs of cancer. Your healthcare provider will recommend the appropriate screening schedule based on your specific risk factors and medical history.
LucenceINSIGHT™ is a versatile tool for early detection of up to 50 different cancers through a simple blood test. It detects changes in circulating DNA fragments, specifically circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), which are shed by cancer cells into the bloodstream. Your report will show whether these “Cancer Signals” are “Detected” or “Not Detected,” providing your healthcare provider with the necessary information for further evaluation if required.
The regular LucenceINSIGHT™ test covers 12 cancer types: Breast, Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST), Lung (Small cell lung cancer, Non-small cell lung cancer, Lung Neuroendocrine Tumor), Bile Duct, Colorectal, Nasopharyngeal, Liver, Pancreas, Cervical, Prostate.

On the other hand, LucenceINSIGHT™ PLUS covers 50 cancer types: Breast, Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST), Lung (Small cell lung cancer, Non-small cell lung cancer, Lung Neuroendocrine Tumor), Bile Duct, Colorectal, Nasopharyngeal, Liver, Pancreas, Cervical, Prostate, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Bladder, Endometrium, Eye, Head and Neck, Kidney, Lymphoplasmacytic Lymphoma, Myeloproliferative Neoplasm, Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, Oropharynx, Skin and Stomach.

In terms of accuracy, Lucence INSIGHT has an 80.9% chance of correctly spotting cancer cases (sensitivity) and a 99% chance of accurately ruling out the disease when it’s not present (specificity).

Results are typically available within 12 to 18 working days after the blood sample is collected.

Yes, LucenceINSIGHT™ is suitable for individuals who want proactive cancer screening, even in the absence of symptoms.

Important Notes:

LucenceINSIGHT™ screens for signals of cancer. The test does not diagnose cancer. If a positive result is found, further confirmatory diagnostic testing is recommended.

LucenceINSIGHT™ does not predict inherited risk of cancer where it is pre-disposed within the family, such as breast cancer.

LucenceINSIGHT™ does not replace standard-of-care screening. It should be used in addition to routine screening tests recommended by a doctor.

False-positive and false-negative results do occur. False negatives can occur due to biological reasons such as low DNA shedding or small tumor size. If further confirmatory testing does not confirm cancer, it could mean that cancer is not present or that confirmatory testing was insufficient to detect the cancer signal.

LucenceINSIGHT™ only predicts the list of cancers indicated and not more. It does not rule out the possibility of other cancers.

LucenceINSIGHT™ is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, or have a history of cancer in the past 3 years.
